In an effort to reduce litter the City of New Brunswick has implemented a litter reduction educational program, Stop. Think. Go Green. Keep New Brunswick Clean! The litter reduction educational program is in addition to the placement of additional city litter receptacles, employment of two sanitary inspectors that are focusing on litter issues, continued mechanical street sweeping, improved hand sweeping, continued Clean Communities volunteer cleanups. The New Brunswick Environmental Commission is having a meeting this Tuesday, Nov. 24th, members of the public who are concerned about litter are invited to attend.
