Baseball/Softball Leagues
When the spring arrives, so does
our baseball and softball
leagues! Any child ages 5-15 can
register to play in one of our
leagues! For more information,

TBall
For boys and girls ages 5 and 6,
Tball annually begins in April.
All games are played on Friday
nights at the Youth Sports
Complex. Tball will run for 9
weeks. Parents are strongly
encouraged to come and join in.
Baseball Leagues
Our youth baseball program
consists of 4 leagues: Tball,
Major, Minor, and Babe Ruth.
Major is for any boy ages 10-12.
Minor is any boys ages 7-9, and
babe ruth is boys ages 13-15.
Games will be held on weeknights
and Saturdays. Major and Minor
Leagues play at the Youth Sports
Complex. Babe Ruth plays at
Buccleuch Park.
Softball Leagues
Any girls ages 5-13 are
encouraged to participate in
softball. There are 3 Leagues:
Gidgets, Juniors and Seniors.
The New Brunswick Softball
Leagues play games against teams
from Milltown, North Brunswick,
South River, Franklin, and
Highland Park.
Basketball
Kids ages 6-16 are encouraged to
participate in the winter indoor
basketball leagues. The
Basketball Leagues will play
games at a variety of New
Brunswick School Gyms. Our
Basketball Leagues begin with
Hot Shots Basketball with boys
and girls ages 7-9. We have a
Junior League for boys and girls
ages 10-12. Our Intermediate
League is for teens ages 13-16.
Registration begins in
September. Season begins in
December and ends in March.

First
Tee Golf Program
The Middlesex and Somerset
County First Tee Program
currently has over 260 students
enrolled in our summer and fall
program. Kids ages 8-18 are
welcome to participate. We have
the clubs and instruction- you
provide the fun! For more

Football/Cheerleading
Youth Football and Cheerleading
in New Brunswick provided by the
New Brunswick Athletic
Association.
Any child ages 5-14 can join.
The season begins in August.

Soccer
Little Kickers: The Little
Kickers Program is a beginner
soccer program for children ages
5 and 6. This program is
non-competitive and provides
many wonderful games that teach
skills and are a great deal of
fun! Each child will receive a
uniform that includes a shirt,
shorts, and socks. Registration
begins in August and early
September. The program begins in
September at the Youth Sports
Complex on Friday Nights.
Leagues 7-14: The Fall soccer
Leagues are for boys and girls
ages 7-14. Players registering
for this league should do so
annually in August. Each player
must provide their own shin
guards. The leagues are divided
into U8, U10, and U14.
Travel Soccer Program
New Brunswick Recreation has
partnered with the PDA to
provide a travel soccer program
in the spring and fall for kids
ages 8-14. Please email Mike

Volleyball
Winter Girls Volleyball League
New Brunswick Recreation and the
HUB Teen Center will sponsor a
girls winter volleyball league
in New Brunswick on Wednesday
evenings starting January 9,
2008 and ending March 12, 2008.
It will be held every Wednesday
from 6:30pm-9pm. We will host
this program at Paul Robeson
School. Girls grades 6-12 are
encouraged to register. Please
wear proper athletic clothing to
include sneakers and knee pads.

Wrestling
All Sports Academy, in
cooperation with New Brunswick
Recreation, is forming a
recreation wrestling program for
New Brunswick residents in
grades 1st through 8th. The
program will meet at All Sports
Academy three days a week
(Sunday 3-4:30pm, Monday
6-7:30pm and Wednesday
6-7:30pm). Participants will
also wrestle in the Raritan
Valley Wrestling League against
other towns and will compete in
other matches as determined by
the coaches.
The cost for this program is
