About
New Brunswick Recreation
The Division of Recreation
administers various programs and
services directed towards the
provision of leisure time
activities for the residents and
workforce within the City of New
Brunswick, New Jersey. The
activities offered by the
division include but are not
limited to organized competitive
sports, leagues for adults and
youths, and seasonal events.
Working with a variety of New
Brunswick youth serving
agencies, we provide a number of
special events such as road
races, festivals, clinics,
tournaments, and fundraisers to
support the community.
In cooperation with the Division
of Parks, the Division of
Recreation monitors the use of
all athletic fields, playgrounds
and park facilities in the city
through the administration of a
permit system. |

Hub Teen
Center |
|
The
Division of Recreation manages a
Teen Recreation Center with
various programs and activities.
Some of the activities are as
follows; golf learning center,
batting cages, computer classes,
music, karate and self defense,
clubs, meetings and a variety of
other activities. The center
also features a state of the art
fitness center, dance studio,
complete game room, computer
lab, movie theatre, video
lounge, and much more. The
center also serves as a center
point for teen homework
assistance, information, and
counseling.
Our Hub Teen
Center is open 6 days a week for
any children ages 13-19.

Youth
Sport Leagues |
|
The
City of New Brunswick offers
organized sports activities for
youth.

Adult
Sport Leagues |
|
|
|
We currently run
three leagues for adults ages 18
and older. Men's Open Baseball
league consists of competitive
fast pitch baseball. Games are
played starting in April and
ending in November. For more

Men's Open Softball League
consists of slow pitch
softball. This league starts in
April and ends in October. For
more information, please contact
Mike Blackwell.
Adult Soccer is hosted by New
Brunswick Recreation. It is one
of the largest adult soccer
leagues around with 40-50
teams. For more information,

Fitness
Center |
The Hub Fitness
Center is open! The 6,000
square feet facility includes a
state of the art fitness center
and dance studio.
The fitness center includes over
12 cardiovascular machines
(treadmills, elliptical,
steppers and a bike) for all
your cardio needs. The center
also features free weights, over
20 different machines, and
benches for all your lifting
needs. Two televisions and
a complete sound system are on
at all times in the center.
Women/men bathrooms and changing
rooms are also located in the
fitness center. |
