In an effort to reduce litter the City of New Brunswick has implemented a litter reduction educational program, Stop. Think. Go Green. Keep New Brunswick Clean! The litter reduction educational program is in addition to the placement of additional city litter receptacles, employment of sanitary inspectors that are working on litter issues, continued mechanical street sweeping, improved hand sweeping, continued Clean Communities volunteer cleanups. The New Brunswick Environmental Commission will hold their next meeting on March 27, 2012, at 7pm, New Brunswick Library, 60 Livingston Ave. Members of the public who are concerned about litter are invited to attend. Residents will be able to sign up at the meeting to become a block captain in the Clean City program. Confidential Paper Shredding Event
