If Your Lease is Ending…

  • Make sure you take the necessary steps to transition into your new apartment or back home. Help keep our City beautiful and save useful items from local landfills.
  • Make arrangements to transport your belongings and furniture to your new residence. If you brought it here, please take it with you. Find someone who can use items you no longer need.
  • If you need to dispose of a bulky item, something that doesn’t fit entirely inside a garbage can, you must make arrangements for its pick up and disposal via New Brunswick DPW @ 745-5104.
  • Limit: three items per dwelling, per pick up.
  • Remember, trash must be placed in trash cans or heavy-duty trash bags. No more than three cans, bags or combination of both are permitted per collection day per dwelling unit.
  • Wait until 5 p.m. the day before your collection day to place trash at the curb. Don’t block/obstruct streets or sidewalks.
  • Violators will face fines and mandatory court appearances.
  • Together we can end this semester on a positive note by helping to make our neighborhoods cleaner.
