Free Tax Filing Assistance Available via New Brunswick Free Public Library

The New Brunswick Free Public Library will again host a free tax filing assistance program for residents to utilize during this current tax season.

Volunteers from Beta Alpha Psi, the Accounting and Finance Honors Society at Rutgers University, will be available by appointment to help taxpayers file current standard 2018 income tax returns online.

Appointments will be available on Fridays and Saturdays between the dates of February 1 and April 6, 2019. To make an appointment, call the library at (732) 745-5108, ext. 25 or visit the library’s main desk.

This program is sponsored by VITA, the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program,  which provides free assistance to low income, elderly, limited English proficient and disabled individuals who require assistance in preparing their tax returns and cannot afford the services of a paid professional tax preparer.
