FREE CPR Instruction Programs Announced, Hosted by the NBFD
All residents ages 10 and older are invited to participate in a FREE CPR program that will teach the basics of this life-saving skill.
Firefighters with the City of New Brunswick Fire Department will conduct a session at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, February 3 and again at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3. The sessions will run until approximately 11 a.m.
Both sessions will be held in the cafeteria of Lord Stirling Community School. Parking is available on-site.
Firefighters will teach the basics of chest compressions and proper breathing to assist someone who has ceased breathing due to a medical emergency. These programs are open to anyone who wishes to learn how to properly administer CPR – no prior experience in CPR is necessary.
These programs are being offered in conjunction with the New Brunswick Mayor’s Wellness Campaign.
