Free Leaf Bags Available to Residents on Wednesdays at New Brunswick DPW

New Brunswick residents are invited to take advantage of free biodegradable leaf bags, courtesy of New Brunswick DPW, to dispose of their leaves in an eco-friendly manner.

New Brunswick residents may pick up 20 free biodegradable leaf bags at the City DPW building at 400 Jersey Avenue on Wednesdays as of October 18 running through November 29, between the hours of 11 a.m and 2 p.m.

Bags will also be available for pickup from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 14 and Saturday, November 11.

Residents should bring a New Jersey drivers license, current deed, Municipal ID, tax bill or utility bill with a current address to show residency.

Additional bags are available for purchase in bundles of 10 for $3.50 each.

Full biodegradable leaf bags will be collected on Wednesdays in November and December throughout the City. Leaves may also be bagged in clear, plastic bags for pickup, no dark bags will be accepted.
