Four New Officers Join Ranks of NBPD

The New Brunswick Police Department welcomed four new officers to its ranks on Wednesday morning during a swearing-in ceremony at City Hall.

The new officers are fresh off 21 weeks of training at the Cape May Police Academy, where they intensively studied multiple facets of police work, including such topics as criminal and motor vehicle laws, community relations, ethics, physical training and the criminal justice system.

“These men join an outstanding police department known throughout the State and beyond as a dedicated, well trained and professional law enforcement agency,” said Mayor Jim Cahill. “The excellent leadership and foresight of Director Caputo has provided for the continued growth and development of a police department ever ready to meet the changing demands of modern police work.”

The four officers – John Quick IV, Thomas Raoul, Daniel Labos and William Carroll – have been assigned to the Operations Division as patrol officers.
