Are you interesting in helping to keep New Brunswick clean and green? Join our Clean City Block Captains team!

All residents are encouraged to become Clean City Block Captains. These special volunteers are responsible for conducting mini-cleanups on their neighborhood block throughout the year. They are also tasked with educating their neighbors about the significance of keeping their neighborhood clean.

This grassroots effort keeps litter off the streets and builds community bonds block by block.

The City of New Brunswick provides its Block Captains with bags, gloves, educational materials in English and Spanish and technical support to aid in the cleanup process.

An orientation meeting for the program will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26 at the HUB Teen Center, 411 Joyce Kilmer Avenue.

Light refreshments will be served, Block Captain supplies will be handed out and prizes will be awarded. All are welcome to attend.

Anyone that wishes to receive more information about this program is encouraged to call (732) 745-5245.
