New Brunswick Community Farmers Market Opens for the Season June 22!
The New Brunswick Community Farmers Market will open for its 11th season in New Brunswick on June 22.
Fresh and local fruits and vegetables, local honey, baked goods, prepared foods, flowers and craft items will be available for purchase now through the end of October at the market's two locations. Seasonal vendors at the market will include Stillwell Farm, Honey Brook Organic Farm, Cox Corner Market, Sofi Accessories, Planting with P and Tina Argonish Designs. Live music and food tastings will take place throughout the market season.
The Market will operate at two locations:
- The Market Pavilion at 178 Jones Avenue, open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays
- Kilmer Square Park, 108 Albany Street, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays (opens June 26)
EBT, WIC and SNAP are welcomed as forms of payment at both locations, as well as cash, debit and credit. The “Market Bucks” program also provides additional money to spend at the market when SNAP/WIC and EBT are used as forms of payment, or when shoppers sign up for participate in the free "Market Card" program.
The New Brunswick Community Farmers Market is a joint project in partnership with the City of New Brunswick, Rutgers Cooperative Extension and Johnson & Johnson.
