Dozens Volunteer for Annual City Cleanup Effort

Pentecostal Church of God at 186 Paul Robeson Blvd. conducted a volunteer litter cleanup in conjunction with the City of New Brunswick Division of Clean Communities on Saturday, September 21st. Approximately 75 volunteers removed an estimated 1,600 pounds of litter from the surrounding neighborhood. The cleanup stretched from Paul Robeson Boulevard to Livingston Avenue, from Sandford Street to Welton Street.  Following an opening prayer by church pastor Gonzalez, New Brunswick's Municipal Recycling Coordinator Donna Caputo reviewed the safety guidelines before the volunteers were dispersed. The volunteers were organized by Norma Rodriguez from the Church at this 9th Annual event.
