City's Official Website Salutes Black History Month
Musical genius and New Brunswick native, James Price Johnson
In celebration of Black History Month, the City's official website proudly highlights the remarkable cultural contributions of African Americans significant to the City of New Brunswick. Each will be showcased at the center of the site's History Bar throughout the month of February.
The series opens with a tribute to the highly-influential musician and New Brunswick native James Price Johnson, heralded as a musical genius.
We honor Mr. James P. Johnson. The New Brunswick Jazz Project offers this video, filmed at Tavern on George in downtown New Brunswick.
New features will be shared throughout the month on the website's History Bar, which can be found just below the Community Calendar and above the Message from Our Mayor.
Please visit the History Bar often for interesting glimpses into New Brunswick's heritage and cultural past.
