Residents and Patrons Encouraged to Continue to Support Businesses and Restaurants During Coronavirus Restrictions

Governor Phil Murphy yesterday signed an Executive Order implementing aggressive social distancing measures to mitigate further spread of COVID-19 in New Jersey. This order places new standards for crowds and social gatherings at different establishments, but does not completely close most of them.

Bars and restaurants throughout the state must be closed for on-premise consumption but may provide take-out, curbside and delivery service until their kitchens close. Drive-through, takeout, and delivery services offered by City restaurants can continue to operate.

All residents and patrons are encouraged to support our local businesses and restaurants during Coronavirus restrictions.

In an effort to assist local businesses, a 15-minute “grace period” at on-street parking meters will be implemented for patrons of businesses providing takeout or curbside pickup.
