Important Update in Advance of the Arrival of Tropical Storm Isaias

A cluster of storms well ahead of Tropical Storm Isaias will pass through the City of New Brunswick and the surrounding area Monday night between 7 and 10 p.m. After a lull, storms will return around daybreak on Tuesday. The steadiest and heaviest rain from Isaias will move through between 12 noon and 6 p.m. Rainfall totals between 1 and 3 inches. Wind gusts expected between 45 and 55 mph.

Please make sure you secure all outside furniture, canopies, trash cans, etc.

Residential trash and recycling collection for Zone #2 will proceed as scheduled. Please secure all cardboard and avoid overfilling your recycling containers.

If you don't have a lot of recycling you may want to consider holding it until the next collection or use the recycling drop off center at Colgate Paper Stock at 12 Industrial Drive in New Brunswick on Saturdays from 7:30am to 11:00am.


Middlesex County's Free COVID-19 testing scheduled for Tuesday August 4 at the drive-through clinic in Piscataway has been POSTPONED to Thursday August 6. Any residents who had scheduled appointments will be automatically rescheduled. There are NO CHANGES at this time for the walk-up testing in New Brunswick on Wednesday August 5.
