New Executive Order Further Adjusts George Street Road Closures and Operating Hours for Outdoor Dining

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (September 16, 2020) - A new Executive Order (2020-07) was signed today by Mayor Jim Cahill which will further adjust the closure hours for George Street as part of the City's downtown expanded outdoor dining offerings.

Effective September 17, 2020 until October 18, 2020, the George Street closure hours are as follows:

• Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m.
• Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. 
• Sundays from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m

Also effective September 17, 2020 until October 18, 2020, George Street restaurants and taverns shall be able to operate as follows:

• Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
• Fridays and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
• Sundays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This new Executive Order 2020-07 will take effect on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 6 a.m.  A copy can be downloaded here.
