City Announces Trio of Personnel Moves to Open 2021
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (January 8, 2021) – With the start of the New Year, the City of New Brunswick announces three promotions of staffers with new titles and responsibilities for 2021.
Michael K. Drulis has been appointed City Administrator, effective January 1. He was named the Acting Business Administrator in July of 2020 following the retirement of Daniel Torrisi. He will also continue to serve as the City’s Acting Director of Finance.
Keith Jones II has been tabbed as the head of the new Department of Human and Community Services, established to focus on quality-of-life issues for residents including managing the City’s housing compliance rules and regulations, solid waste and recycling, animal control efforts and more. Jones most recently served as Chief of Staff for Mayor Jim Cahill and previously served as Community Organization Specialist. His appointment was effective January 1.
Joseph “JT” Miller has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Director of the New Brunswick Police Department. Miller has been with the NBPD since 1994 when he joined as a patrolman. He has served in numerous capacities including Commander of the Detective Bureau. He has been a Captain since 2012 and will continue to serve as the department’s Public Information Officer in his new role.
