Senior Citizen Resource Center's Welcome Back Celebration Week Begins on July 12

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (July 7, 2021) - The New Brunswick Senior Citizen Resource Center will be hosting a special Welcome Back Celebration Week event starting on Monday, July 12. This 5-day event will include special outdoor fun and fellowship activities designed to reconnect the center members and staff. 

The Welcome Back Celebration Week will consist of a 1-hour outdoor activity for a maximum of 24 members each day. Members will have the opportunity to preregister for the day and time of their choice, all on a first-call, first-served basis. Preregistration is taking place now!  Anyone interested in attending must:

  • Contact the New Brunswick Senior Citizen Resource Center at (732) 745-5100, (732) 745-5124 or (732) 745-5127 and speak with a staff member to preregister (Messages left on voicemail or requests sent via email will not be accepted.)
  • Adhere to the safety conditions listed below
  • Provide their own transportation and depart the center once the activity is completed
With the health, safety and well-being of everyone the top priority, the SCRC has modified the programs, activities, services and systems of operation in accordance with current Centers for Disease Control safety protocols. All members returning for Welcome Back Celebration Week will be required to:  

  • Sign a waiver acknowledgement form
  • Preregister by phone with a NBSCRC staff member in order to attend
  • Complete a COVID-19 screening assessment by phone during preregistration and upon arrival at the center
  • Wear a mask, have a temperature check and practice social distancing (remaining 6 feet apart) at all times
Following Welcome Back Celebration Week, the center will continue to provide one hour of outdoor programming activities for members during the months of July and August. Same-day preregistration will be required.
