*** The New Jersey State Supreme Court has suspended all in-person Municipal Court proceedings
In lieu of in-person sessionsNew Brunswick Municipal Court is functioning primarily with scheduled, virtual hearings using the Zoom app technology. Additionally, prosecutors are actively extending plea bargains by mail. Court users may receive additional Notices and instructions for virtual hearings or plea offers.

Methods of Payment
Online
:  Payments for parking, certain traffic matters, traffic time payments, and criminal time payments can be paid through WWW.NJMCdirect.com.
Dropoff:  Additionally, while the Violation Bureau is closed to the public, payments for parking, traffic and criminal violations may be placed in the drop box located outside City Hall's rear doors (parking lot side).


Filing of Private Citizen Complaints
Anyone wishing to file a Private Citizen Complaint needs to contact the court for an apointment at 732-745-5089, or email staff at: nbmc@cityofnewbrunswick.org.

Violation Bureau Window reopens Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 4:45 p.m.

Court Sessions
Currently Municipal Court is holding Virtual Court only. 
The Virtual Court sessions are as follows:
Mondays 8:50am, 11:00am, 11:30am and 1:00pm
Wednesday 8:50am, 11:00am and 11:30am
Thursday 8:50am, 11:00 am and 11:30am 

When in-person court sessions resume, the usual schedule will return to:
Monday   8:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 4:45 p.m.
Tuesday   12:30 p.m., 4:45 p.m.
Wednesday   8:45 a.m., 4:45 p.m.
Thursday   8:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m.
